The Test of Three, Analyze – A Philosophy of Sharing information By Socrates

Once, Plato came to his teacher Socrates and told him that his servant was standing in the bazaar and mocking you. Socrates smiled and asked, "What was he saying?" Plato replied in an emotional tone. He was talking about you ... "Socrates motioned for him to be silenced and said," Before you say that, put it to the test of three, analyze it, and then decide whether you should tell me this. "Plato asked," or what is the test of Three, Master? "Socrates said," Do you believe that what you are telling me is one hundred percent true? "Plato nodded. Shaking, Socrates laughed and said, "Then what good will it do for you and me to say that?" Plato looked at Socrates' face in silence. Socrates said that was the first test. We now turn to the second test: "Is what you are telling me a good thing?" Plato shook his head in denial. "No, it is a bad thing." Socrates smiled and said, "Do you think this is for your teacher?" Plato shook his head in denial. Socrates said, "It does not meet the second criterion." Plato remained silent. Socrates paused and said, "And the last test is that what you are telling me is good for me." Plato shook his head in denial and said, "O Master, this is not good for you at all." He laughed and said, "If this is not good for me, then what the point of telling it is?" Plato looked confused and started to watch left and right.

Socrates

The common man knows maximum about Socrates that he drank a cup of poison. Socrates is considered the world's first philosopher who did not write a book because he did not know how to write. Socrates was a rare figure, his disciple exemplified with such a statue. Which is very funny from above, but inside it has a picture of a deity. Socrates was a scholar, teacher and philosopher born in ancient Greece. His Socratic method laid the groundwork for Western systems of logic and philosophy.  Socrates' mother was a midwife while his father was a sculptor. Socrates was never serious about making money. His wife was always fighting. Socrates never considered her bad. Socrate was blessed with very nice sense of humour with true face of wisdom. His philosophies are witty with great vision.

Cato, a disciple of Socrates from a prosperous family, writes: "One day I went to Socrates' house and saw him sitting on the doorstep of the house. His wife was cursing him loudly. Socrates had a smile on his face without any reply to her. His wife saw that Socrates did not answer, so she angrily went into the house and brought a water-filled container and poured all the water on Socrates. Socrates laughed and said to me. Cato, I knew the clouds were thundering and it would rain so it happened. "

Socrates' endurance was amazing. He was the only person in town walking barefoot on the snow. Socrates received the prize of bravery on the battlefield in his youth. Socrates spent most of his time talking to his disciples in the gardens and temples of Athens. The strange philosopher of two and a half thousand years ago did not express any philosophy on his own. He did not leave behind a book or even a short article of four pages. He did not write anything. He had no philosophy of his own. Instead of telling people something, he used to ask them more. His only question was his philosophy. He spent his whole life in a Sheet of cloth. Someone told him that a voice was heard in the temple of Delphi. Socrates is the wisest man in Athens. Socrates laughed and replied: "I am wise because I have a sense of my own ignorance.

"

One morning when Socrates came to the bazaar, he saw that the following resolution had been passed against him: "Socrates has committed crimes. His first crime is that he does not worship the gods that this whole city worships, instead he has brought new gods on his behalf. His other crime is that he spoils young people, so he is punishable by death. ”The biggest motivator behind the accusation was a leather seller named Annette. He had a personal grudge against Socrates. The point is that Socrates advised his son to abandon the work of skins and leather and pursue a career in philosophy. Annette insisted that his son had been misled, so the sentence should not be less than death. Thus leather and knowledge came before each other. The victory went to leather. Socrates was arrested and put under trial. Socrates could have escaped the death penalty if he had wanted to. The reason is that there was a provision in Athens law that any person sentenced to death could choose exile as an alternative punishment. It is as if the person who was sentenced to death also had the option to run away from his state and thus escape the death penalty. Socrates could have taken it, but he was not ready to escape. His time had come and he was ready to go for eternity. When the last day of Socrates' life came, many of his disciples came to visit him. The disciples gathered around Socrates. Socrates called one of them to him. He touches his hair and at the same time expresses his thoughts about life, death and the eternity of the soul. He says, "Death is eternal sleep, it is the sweet eternal state of self-forgetfulness, in which there is no persecution, no oppression and injustice, no despair, no pain, or such a door through which we enter heaven from the earth, it is a cycle of slavery that takes us straight to the house of God and friends there no one is crucified because of his thoughts, so laugh and let me go But don't regret When you descend into my grave. Socrates’s Physical appearance vanished from this world in 404 B.C. but he is alive through his evergreen philosophies.

We can put our society on the right track by following the test of three analyze before sharing any information. Our all walks of life are on the path of trivial disputes resulting negative sway on the development. People transfer unnecessary information which cause so many problem through those. Everyone should do analysis before conveying any message. We should make ourselves beneficial for other and we must not behind any harm to any person in our life. The important point to success in life is to remove the fear of death as it is reality and everyone has to pass through this gate to enter into the life of eternity.

  1. A great lesson from a great philosopher of history. But the lesson is perpetually modern and suggests all of us to adore golden rule of "Analyze" in our day-to-day communications in order to make it effective and devoid of misconceptions leading to eventual misunderstandings.
